Speech Therapy

Welcome! I’m a licensed North Carolina pediatric speech-language pathologist with 25 years of experience, and my passion lies in helping children enhance their communication skills.

 

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in both assessment and intervention, addressing a wide range of communication needs. I’ve had the pleasure of working in various settings, including early intervention programs, inclusive and self-contained preschool classrooms, K-8 charter schools, and both large group and individual private practices.

 

Working closely with families is at the heart of what I do, as I believe collaboration is key to fostering each child's unique growth and development. My goal is to develop individualized treatment programs that not only increase skills but also improve functioning in everyday life. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based approaches such as play-based and child-led strategies, AAC strategies (including signs, pictures, communication apps, and speech-generating devices), as well as programs such as Garcia Winner's Social Thinking and PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets).
